November 18, 2013 – The law firm of Krokidas & Bluestein and several of its attorneys were recognized for their achievements in 2013.
Krokidas & Bluestein was named to U.S. News & World Report’s list of “Best Law Firms” for 2014. This is the firm’s fourth consecutive year to receive this designation. Firms included in the “Best Law Firms” list are recognized for professional excellence with consistently impressive ratings from clients and peers.
U.S. News & World Report also named the following Krokidas & Bluestein lawyers to the 2013- 2014 Best Lawyers in America list: Paul Holtzman for employment law, management, and labor litigation; Robert Griffin and Jennifer Gallop for health care law; Kathryn C. Murphy for real estate law; and Elizabeth C. Ross for land use and zoning law.
Eight Krokidas & Bluestein Attorneys were named as 2013 Massachusetts Super Lawyers. These included: Richard Bluestein and Vincent J. Pisegna for litigation; Maria J. Krokidas, Kathryn Cochrane Murphy, Samuel Nagler and Elizabeth C. Ross for real estate law; Robert Griffin and Jennifer Gallop for health care law; Paul Holtzman for labor and employment law; and Elka Sachs for nonprofit law. Attorney Sheryl A. Howard was recognized as a Super Lawyer Rising Star in real estate. The Top 100 Lawyers in Massachusetts also selected Paul Holtzman for labor and employment law this year.
New England Women in Real Estate (NEWiRE) awarded Partner Kathryn Murphy and several other women with the 2013 Networking Award for their work on the Dudley Municipal Center project. Ms. Murphy was also one of seven recipients who received the 2013 Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Network Impact Award. In addition, in October, Ms. Murphy was elected Vice President for 2014 of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL), an invitation-only organization of the nation’s top real estate practitioners. Ms. Murphy, who has been an ACREL Fellow since 1993, has also been named to Who’s Who in the Legal Profession for a second year.
