Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly recognition illuminates outstanding achievements made by exceptional women lawyers
Attorney Jennifer Gallop
(BOSTON, MA) – Boston-based law firm Krokidas & Bluestein LLP announced today that Partner Jennifer Gallop has been selected for the 2017 “Top Women of Law” by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. Each year Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly honors women attorneys who have made professional strides and demonstrated accomplishments in the legal field, including pro bono, social justice, advocacy and business. Gallop is one of a group of women to receive the honor, all of who have established themselves in their legal specialties while contributing to the broader community. This year’s celebration will take place at the Marriott Copley Place Hotel on Thursday, November 2, 2017.
Gallop, a partner at Krokidas & Bluestein, heads the firm’s Health Care Practice serving the full range of health and human service organizations. Her work includes representation in connection with transactions (mergers, acquisitions, affiliations and contracts), compliance, governance, licensure, certification, and reimbursement, charitable assets, tax-exempt financing, and legislative and regulatory matters.
“I am honored to be counted among the awardees, and assume we all have tried to be role models to future generations of women. I hope in particular that this recognition will inspire young attorneys to pursue a commitment to a mission-driven legal practice,” said Gallop.
Gallop is currently a member of YW Boston’s 2017 LeadBoston, a leadership development program focused on connecting local executives across sectors who are committed to socially responsible leadership and who seek to collaborate in business and social welfare ventures. U.S. News & World Report honored her as 2017 “Lawyer of the Year,” in health care for Massachusetts, and she has recently received other accolades for her work, including being named as “Up & Coming” in 2016 and as a ranked Attorney in Health Care by Chambers USA in 2017. She also has been named a “Best Lawyer in America” by U.S. News & World Report since 2009. Gallop serves on the nonprofit boards of local healthcare organizations and communal institutions, co-chairs the Continuing Legal Education committee for the BBA Health Care Section Steering Committee, and serves as the Massachusetts representative for the LeadingAge Legal Committee.
