Katherine E. Garavaglia is an associate in Krokidas & Bluestein’s Transaction Group. Her practice ranges from affordable housing finance, complex title matters, real estate disposition for public agencies, to representing developers and private and institutional lenders in a variety of real estate transactions.
Katie represents public agencies in the disposition of real property for development and redevelopment, including drafting and negotiating development agreements, construction contracts, ground leases, and condominium documents. She also represents banks, developers, and private and institutional lenders in financing a myriad of real estate projects and loans including acquisitions, dispositions, construction loans, and participations. She also has more than a decade of experience analyzing and resolving complex title matters throughout the United States and U.S. Territories.
Before joining Krokidas & Bluestein, Katie was an Associate in the Real Estate and Development Group at Robinson & Cole, LLP. Katie also held in-house positions as Underwriting Counsel for First American Title Insurance Company- National Commercial Services, where she underwrote and closed complex commercial transactions across the United States and U.S. Territories and as Claims Counsel for Stewart Title Guaranty Company, analyzing and resolving title insurance claims in New England and Florida.
Katie is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She graduated cum laude from Boston University Honors College and Suffolk Law School. Katie is the co-chair of the REBA Commercial Real Estate Finance Committee and a Member of the Advisory Committee on the Land Court Guidelines. She was named a “2023 Ones to Watch Rising Star” in the New England Real Estate Journal.
