Victoria C. Goetz Berlyand joined Krokidas & Bluestein LLP in 2024 as an Associate in the firm’s Litigation Practice. Focusing on Healthcare Litigation, Victoria advises medical professionals, hospitals, care facilities, and special education providers from investigation to resolution on legal issues such as malpractice defense, privacy matters, and insurance contracts in both state and federal courts.
Prior to joining Krokidas & Bluestein, Victoria practiced professional liability defense litigation at Sloane and Walsh, LLC, concentrating on medical malpractice defense litigation and general areas of civil litigation, including complex litigation matters, and appeals before the Massachusetts Court of Appeals, the First Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.
From 2017 to 2019, Victoria served as a Special Assistant Attorney General at the Rhode Island Department of Attorney General in the Government Litigation Department. There, she conducted investigations of and defended different state agencies.
Victoria is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the State of Rhode Island, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island, and the First Circuit Court of Appeals. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Boston College and received her law degree from Boston College Law School in 2016.
